Here’s a couple easy ways to check the authenticity of those Forwarded Alerts zipping around the internet. It’s a wise choice to check them against reliable sources such as these BEFORE sending them on to 100 of your closest email contacts.

To check if forwarded email alerts are legitimate go to SNOPES.COM

To check if Amber Alert forwarded messages are legit visit WSEG.ORG – Women’s Safety Education Group  

WSEG.ORG site has an Amber Alert Ticker across the top of the page provided by the National Amber Alert office so is dependable as fact.   

Snopes.com staff researches every “sighting” of possible internet scam (including forwarded email stories and alerts) and identify those that are legit and those that are BUNK, rating them and listing by categories. 

It is advisable to read the entire report about the item in question. If you just glance over it you can easily miss the essence of the report and get the wrong idea.

Especially be wary of forwarded email alerts claiming to be affirmed by Snopes. Check with Snopes.com yourself – don’t take the sender’s word for it. Most likely, the person who added the claim of Snopes support into the “forward” didn’t read the entire report to see that, in fact, Snopes does NOT give it a “passing grade”. 

Better to double-check the authenticity than to perpetuate false information circling the globe at the speed of 10,000 spam-send per nano-second.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE, IN SPITE OF THE CRITICS

So listen politely to the worries and criticisms of your friends and family, and do your best to put their minds at ease, but then carry on. Listen lastly to your own heart.  You know yourself better than anyone on earth. Make sure your song is sung.

Consider this – What if these people would have let their critics remarks destroy their hopes, dreams, ambitions? We can agree that the world would be forever changed if these people had not fulfilled their destined roles (God given assignments in life).

How many times have you let critiicism defeat you, destroy your dreams and crush your potential? When we give in to these destructice forces, lives and events may well be forever changed because we did not fulfill our destined role. Hmmm…

Then, here is the Challenge…

Next time you feel like giving up when others are critical and negative and do not see the God given worth in you, or do not understand the God given dream in you …. just remember, you have a destiny to fulfill, and God gave you that assignment for a purpose. Only you can fulfill this assignment, exactly as it is supposed to be, for the right eternal outcome. It may not seem like something great or world changing. and maybe it isn’t. But every time we do something that makes a difference, even to one life, it counts!

Observations such as: The inevitablity that Gore received the Nobel Peace Prize. And why not? Most people know that the prize has had very little to do with rewarding true peacemakers. Okay… some of them actually did make huge contributions to humanity, and even to peace. But, the rest…. mmmmm.
